 Support Workers needed in Aberdeen, Fife, Dundee and   Edinburgh.

Support workers positions are available in and around Glasgow. You are to help people live ordinary, independent, and happy lives through the extraordinary support you provide. We help all different types of people with complex needs that may include physical and learning disabilities, who would like support on a 24-hour basis within their own homes, and assess the community on a daily basis dependent on their needs and wishes. We feel that there is nothing better than seeing people happy in their own homes as we give them the support they need to live happy and fulfilled lives. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time support workers who live in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
All applicants will be required to complete a DBS/PVG that is paid for by the  and be flexible to work day, evening, and weekends on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:

  • Promoting the independence of people we support
  • Supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out, or going away on holiday.
  • Maintain quality of the design process and ensure that when designs are translated into code they accurately reflect the design specifications.
  • Arranging activities in the home and in the local community
  • Developing residents’ life skills and personal interests
  • Assisting with personal care needs
  • Manual handling
  • Supporting people with medication
  • Ensuring record-keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements

  • Trained and experience in medication adminstration
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed.
